Yesterday was snowy/rainy in Vancouver, but we headed out after Spence got up and went for lunch at the little Japanese place next to Fluevog. Spence had decided he did indeed need a new pair of shoes as the current ones are falling apart on the inside.
I can have the old ones repaired, but he needed shoes in the meantime - he found two pairs which are totally him - so we got those and hoped they would fit in our back packs. We were also on the hunt for a messenger bag, but he didn't find one he liked.
We went back to the hotel, chilled in the hot tub in the rain/snow and then got packed and headed out at 5pm to Richmond to meet up with Dave for one last supper together and some Anime shopping at the Asian malls.
We didn't find anything in Richmond and ended up eating at the Radison - which was not great food, but convenient and reasonably priced. Dave was great to have driven out from Surrey to see us off. We headed off to the airport after that.
Because it was the Heritage Classic weekend in Vancouver - everything of course was super busy - the line ups at security we really long, but they had all the checkpoints going, so it only ended up taking us about 15 minutes to get through.
We waited for a flight from Terrace - so we were a good 1/2 hour to 45 minutes late taking off, so we didn't get home until nearly 2am. Spence said he'd rather do his essay before bed (that's his school today - as I figured a 2am arrival = need for sleep for both of us) and so he went off to do that and I went off to bed.
Today we're planning on relaxing and having Kelly/Sam over and then Spence is off with his dad tonight. Tomorrow we get back into school.
