Spence has a very relaxing day today - no plans other than wishing Bailey a Happy Birthday (today is her real bd) and I am painting the front entry again with the final house colours.

I got up and after the walk with the dogs started working.  I ran some errands and was organizing Spencer's BD date with Bailey - with Bailey's mom.

Spence arrived around 3pm with Jacob and when Jacob went home Spence started to get ready for his date, went down to catch up with his friends.

We scrounged for supper and then we watched some TV before Bailey arrived.  I took them to the movie theatre and then came home to do the final sanding and run the silicone bead on the window sills.  Tomorrow morning I pick up the paint and then do a skim coat on the new drywall area before I paint.

Not much else on the go for tonight.

I managed to finally pick the new colours for the house today and then headed home to catch up on some more work and chores.

I grabbed Karma at 5pm and we headed home for to do our walk and supper.  For supper I made hot dogs and macaroni salad.  Then I headed out for the slo-pitch game tonight.  I got to the game and found out they had enough players and it was raining - so I opted to go home to catch up on a bit more work and a few more chores.
Spence had a great night with his dad, they finished building the lego model and had some good quality time together.  When he got home, he and Jacob got together for a bit and then when he got back he packed his stuff for his overnight in Banff with his dad, Jacob, Tammy and her girls - 40th BD at the Banff Springs.

While Spence was out, Hudson one of our neighbours dogs came by - on his own - for a visit.  I took him home when someone knocked on my door to tell me my dog was waiting for me at my front door.

I worked a bit and got the living room tidied up a bit.

Today is a busy day for both Spencer and me.  Jacob is coming over early so the boys can play a round of magic before they leave for Banff and I am heading downtown for a meeting and then home to work some more.

Well it certainly was an interesting start to the day.  Last night sometime, Karma got stung by something and her snout was swollen by class time.  She was still pretty good though, so we did class and once home, I gave her some Benadryl.  By midnight when it was time to go to bed, she was on speed - she was so itchy and uncomfortable all she could do was run laps around the house.

Spence had had a great night with his dad - lego building (we got him a lego bd present), dinner and a movie and when he got home, he noticed the very active dog too :)

I tried to settle her down, but by 2am, she had kept both Spence and me awake with all the running, banging, barking, whining - so I gave up and headed off to the emergency clinic.

2am to 5am......and she got a steroid injection to take away the itchiness and swelling and we were told to go home, sleep until 6am and then give another dose of Benadryl (repeat every 8 hours for 24 hrs) and then she should be good.  The stinger should fall out on it's own and now that Karma isn't itchy, she'll be able to sleep.

Well Karma fell asleep in the car and I barely got her to the bedroom - but she slept.  I got up a half hour after we got home and gave her another Benadryl and then started to get ready for work as I had some early morning meetings downtown.

I headed off to work and got the meetings over with and went back to bed for a 2 hour nap.  In the meantime, Spence finally got some sleep and when he got up did his math, printing, drums and art and we decided that was good enough for today.

Now we're both up and awake (mainly awake), he's going to get ready to have a boys night with his dad and I'm going to catch up on the work I was supposed to do today.

Back to school today - we started off with Brotherband, then math, spelling, reading, printing, drums, and figuring out the English 30 exam prep work we'd have to do.

We went through the sections and worked through how we wanted to split up the practice exams from the last 11 years which are online with Alberta Learning + what exam banks he wanted to use and how we were going to fit in essay writing and printing practice in there so someone other than him can read his writing.

Then it was off to meet Corbin and Rebecca for coffee and catch up - which was very nice.  We left at 1:30 and headed off to get James' birthday present - a Star Wars Lego ship that Spence could work on with his dad.  We went off to Michael's after that to get origami paper for Spencer's art project - he's making flowers for Bailey's BD :)

Once we got home and Spence ate, did some origami practice and then headed off to Jacob's for a bit before his dad came by to pick him up for movie/dinner night.

I'm off to doggie training class and then home to do a bit more work.

We had decided to have a relaxing day today - I got Spence up at 11am and we went off to Smash Burger to meet up with Kelly & Sam for lunch.

After lunch, we went off to Walmart in search of origami paper - didn't find any, but Spence found some magic cards he wanted.  Then it was off to the dollar store - it was the biggest dollar store I've been to in Calgary.  We didn't get the paper, so we'll hit Michael's this week (it's part of Bailey's BD pressie).

We came home with Kelly & Sam and then Kelly & I went off to Value Village to do some window shopping.  I came away with a bright orange vase to go in my kitchen for $2 :)

Kelly and I watched the storm roll through as we sat on the patio with the heater on and finished our drinks and then they went home and I walked the dogs.

Now it's time for supper - we decided on ravioli with sauce and garlic bread.  Then it's time to actually get some work done :)

Saturday started off fairly late for everyone - the dogs and I got up at 9:30 and started our day by making breakfast and then we went for our walk.

I dug up my front garden area by the front door - a section where nothing was growing and put down paver stones and put the trash bin there.  Originally our condo board said the trash bins had to be in our garages, but no one was doing it and in the summer, the garage ends up smelling something awful - so this summer I moved mine outside too....not sure if I'll keep it outside during the winter, but now it has a spot.  I plan to put a trellis next to it to help hide it either later on this summer or next spring.

I did some more chores and took a nap and pretty much chilled until supper time.

Spence got up around lunch time, had breakfast and then an hour later had lunch :) He decided he'd like a computer video camera to be able to stream his video better and so we decided after supper we'd go get that for him.

I went off to dinner with Kirsten - she thought it was high time I tried Ox and Angela's down on 17th and it was as good as she said.  We opted for vegetarian tapas and were not disappointed - the only thing I wasn't thrilled about was the Churro's I ordered for dessert, they were overcooked outside and still raw inside - but considering the rest of the meal was fantastic, neither of us complained.

I had taken Spence to Burger King for his supper, but also bought lamb meatballs and chorizo sausage for him.

When I got home, we headed off to Memory Express but they were already closed and so we continued over to Best Buy and got him a reasonably priced computer video camera for his live streaming.

Once home, he decided that Burger King was a pre-curser to dinner and asked if I could make some homemade tomato sauce and pasta to go with the meatballs.  I had made brownies with frosting earlier in the day and that was going to be dessert.  Once he was done with supper and dessert he had chicken wings to finish off his supper.

Today is going to be more of the same - lots of chillin, chores and napping.  I think I have to re-organize the freezer downstairs as it's pretty full with left overs and I have a fridge full of left overs now which have to be frozen.  I'm thinking some sort of left overs for supper :)
