Very lazy morning - got up very late and had a relaxing breakfast by myself....Dave had come home late (early morning) from work and needed some sleep and Spence was over at Jacobs.

Dave got up and after his breakfast we started working on the lights/electrical.  It was good that he could move the electrical boxes, then it was bad that he found out that the outdoor lights were not up to code...so he spent ages bringing the lighting up to code and only got two of the three lights done and didn't get the door numbers up. .... hoping tomorrow before he has to leave for Edmonton.

Mum is doing ok - she went backwards again a bit, so they asked us not to visit.  We'll try tomorrow.

Today, I woke up and found that Dave had arrived safely sometime during the night (turns out it was 5am) and that Spence was ready to head out to soccer.

Spence and I went off to soccer and after we got home, Dave was up and ready to have breakfast in the afternoon :)

I was working on supper - Chana Masala, Butter Chicken, Spicy Chicken Breast, Naan, Papudam and rice, so Dave had some crepe donut things.

I left for my haircut at 3:30pm and was supposed to be home by 5:45 but between traffic and a football game, I couldn't make it back in time....so I asked Joanne to take the boys to their card game.

I got home, grabbed Dave and we headed to the hospital for a visit with our mum.  We had a nice visit - she's been moved from ICU to a regular bed in the cardiac unit.  She is talking and able to swallow - so now they will see how she is doing for the next few days and then decide if she's ok to be moved to Canmore or continue for a bit longer in Foothills.

Dave and I picked out the outdoor lights - now I have to return the other ones....and he's unpacking his van so that he can just take the stuff he needs to go to work with tonight.  I am picking up the boys after cards and will bring them back to Joanne's for a sleepover.
Well, door arrived around 11am (it was sometime between 8am and 5pm).  They figured it would take about 4 hours to install....it took nearly 7!

I managed to vacuum and get all the wood splinters picked up off the livingroom floor before they came, so at least no one will get splinters today.  Started a new sourdough starter, doing a bit of work and going to visit my mom sometime today (once the door is installed).

Dave is on his way - should be here by midnight and Spence was getting the last of his E3 fix and playing video games with his buddies.

Original entryway - closet and doors taking up most of the 7x10 space

Not quite finished - but almost there.  New doors (both garage and front), closet gone (moved to garage)
and now the entryway is one big open space.  Thank you to all my friends and family
for helping put this all together.

Still needs to be painted, but overall, it's done...took them 3 tries to get the
circles to meet up.  New mailbox already installed, new doorbell also installed.
Exterior entry light hopefully will be installed this weekend.

So in other news....Sobey's just bought out Safeway Canada....Not sure if they will be keeping the Safeway brand or what else will be changing...what about all my points?

E3 continues and Spence and his buddies are still in tithers over various new games.  I ran out to buy a plant for the front entry (a hardy one I hope) and then started working when I got a call from the hospital saying my mom pulled out her breathing tube and refused to cooperate - so they left her without it as she seemed to be breathing ok on her own and could I come down to see her and talk with the doc.

I headed down and 2 hours later was back home.  She is awake, but seems to have lost a bunch of information - she knows she lives in Canmore but couldn't identify where.  She has no idea she was in an accident, said she was 34 and asked if her parents were still alive.  She asked for me and then said she didn't know me, 5 min later said she missed me and why hadn't I visited her before....so the ride really starts now.  Like last time, it'll be a very long road to recovery and the doc can't say if she'll be able to be self functioning or not and he said to be prepared for her to have another cardiac arrest (which is not a heart attack - found out a cardiac arrest is when the heart races over 120/130 beats per min and your body can't get blood or oxygen to the brain because of that), as that was typical in seniors who have had one.  They are prepared for it though as she is in ICU in the cardiac unit.

Dave is on his way and should be able to visit tomorrow once he arrives and has had a bit of a rest - it is a long drive after all.

E3 continues and Spence and his buddies continue to debate which games they want to buy, once they come out :)

I headed off to client meetings and then worked on my entry - floor is clean from paint, bench is put together, baseboards are painted - a few touch ups need to be done, blinds in my room are up and I'm feeling like the entry is almost done.  Need to find a plant for the corner, decide on which pictures to put up from the ones that are sitting around and just a few minor things need to be finished (electrical face plates need to be put back on, etc...yay.  I plan to finish the work this week and then install the exterior lights and move onto the stairs and living room wall next week.

Mum is still the same, they are now looking at doing a tracheotomy to help her with breathing - will know more tomorrow.

Today was another full day of E3 for Spence and his buddies - the clapping, yelling, laughing and booing went on all day.  They seem to be enjoying themselves and are all hyped up for the games that are coming out this year.

I on the other hand did some errands, finished the touch ups on the paint, put on my baseboards and spackled the areas that needed it, did a bit of laundry, put up my new mailbox and doorbell then cleaned the garage a bit.

The door came....but the frame was wrong, so after they figured that out, they took the door back :(  maybe the 3rd time is the charm.

I had to get more paint today so I could finish painting.  It took me most of the day, but both coats of the new colour are on .... although I did seem to miss a spot or two.

I was going to do the baseboards too, but that will have to wait until tomorrow.  I'm going to work now and watch some TV.

Spence watched the start of E3 with his buddies, then played with them for the rest of the day.

I also visited my mum at the hospital and she is responding well to questions, but still isn't breathing on her own.  They will try again later tonight.
