What a relaxing day so far - everybody is chilling (even the dogs).  James is off for a swim and then we plan to BBQ some hot dogs for supper and I'm working on some wild yeast breads.

Nice and relaxing Saturday.

It was vacation time for us - James took the day off and so did we.  It was too cold to do soccer (even though some brave souls went out) and so we decided to chill.

The boys went out with grampa for lunch and then to the stores to get some stuff for Monday's paintball game.

I caught up on laundry, made pecan babka, sandwich bread and pizza.  I have ciabatta on the go, but it won't be ready until tomorrow.

Dinner was good - pizza and TV shows with wine that grampa gave us.  The wine was excellent and we went through the bottle in one night.  I never even got my usual headache with it (it's a red).

Busy day today - Spence had his volunteering at the museum and then we headed off to see Jonathan for the afternoon.

I had managed to get the groceries done as well as pick up James' watch from the scuba shop, while Spence was at the museum.

While the boys played and check out each other's paintball gear, Donna & I caught up over coffee & cookies.

For supper we made some spicy chicken sausages with pasta.

Spence got up early and we did history (Inca's), spelling, drums, printing, reading, essay, Italian and math.  He chilled for the rest of the day.

My brother stopped by for a quick visit and then I headed off to physio - good news, ready to climb (only easy routes though).

Tonight we ended up with hashbrown casserole and veggie ck nuggets for supper.

I went for an early meeting today at a client site and when I got home, Spence was chilling with some research.

We read some Atlas Shrugged, did spelling, watched the 10 things you didn't know about Ben Franklin (very interesting), then math, printing and talking about the upcoming structure of his essay.

We had lunch and then headed off to meet up with Sam at Crater Rock to do some outdoor climbing.  Drums were cancelled - Kenny is sick this week and so we went to the bottle depot to drop off our bottles.

We then headed off to Badlands to meet up with James - James and I wanted to surprise Spence with a paintball gun kit (he was saving up for it).  He did well in school last year, has been great around the house and overall has been good at putting aside cash for stuff he wanted to buy.

The boys headed home and I stopped at the Chili Thai Club to pick up supper and pick up Karma.

Dave is on his way to Calgary and is planning to stop off at mom's on the way in Canmore.
Monday was an early day all around - James was up at 5:30, Karma shortly after that - which meant I was up too.  Spence got to sleep in until just after 8am.

We started with Atlas Shrugged, spelling, math - more proofs (almost done the logic unit!), printing practice (trying to think of a way to make his printing / writing neater.....), then a show on the Iraq war from a civilian's standpoint, drum practice, silent reading and working through the Dark Matter essay Spence is researching....tomorrow we try and put some structure to the research & body of the essay.

I headed off part way through school to get my phone fixed - think it's fixed now, but if it goes again, they will be replacing the phone.  Spence got picked up by grama for their day out - movie & dinner (maybe some buckets of golf balls too).

James and I had burgers and I made some potato salad for supper and then we chilled until bedtime.

Happy Mother's Day :)

I got to sleep in until almost 9am with the dogs and then got to chill for a bit.  James had gotten up early as Ms. Karma decided she wanted pets & kisses from James.  Once I got up and had coffee and banana bread, I took the dogs for a walk and then later on went and sat on the patio in the sun with James.

Spence spent the day with his friends online and for supper we grilled up some chorizo, made mashed potatoes and gravy and bruschetta.

Overall a pretty good MD
