We started with Atlas Shrugged and then did math quiz, spelling quiz, watched a few episodes of Through the Wormhole, moved onto silent reading, printing & Italian.

In the meantime, I finished painting the bedroom (after I moved the king bed off the wall - which was heavy!) and did a bit of work for a client.

We chilled before heading out to Airdrie for swim practice and then home to make supper - Korean stir fry tonight with rice and for Spence some pizza.

We started with Atlas Shrugged, then Spence watched a few episodes of Through the Wormhole with Morgan Freeman.  He read a new comic book, did spelling, drum practice, printing, Italian and then we did some more work on proofing angles for math.

He took a break and then did some chores before settling down to play with his buddies online.  In the meantime, I did some more painting (tomorrow I have to figure out how to move the bed to paint the last part of the wall), headed out to the store to grab a few things and then finished up my chores for the day.

Terrific day today - we started off with the orthodontist visit and the doc said Spence was coming along great!  Yay!

Spence and I had a bit of time before we were going to meet up with Sam & Kelly, so we went to the Bay to find a fridge light (sold out), but Spence found a sport jacket he fell in love with on the mannequin, the sales guy was great and we got a t-shirt for under the jacket - the kid has expensive tastes, but he still has money in his clothing budget, so we got him the stuff (he wore it to dinner tonight).  We then stopped off at the Happy Cooker and I found the waffle cone maker I had been drooling over, great BD pressy from grama & grampa.
Then we met up with Sam & Kelly for lunch at the mall and then headed to the Military Museum for our field trip.  While at the museum, we met up with the Volunteer Coordinator who did Spencer's interview and he got some options for his volunteer work - he opted for the collections / archives departments (there are 5 museums in the space and he could rotate through all of them).  He'll be working with the curators, profs from the local universities and other volunteers and museum staff - very exciting for someone who wants to do history for a living.

After the museum, we came home and the boys played for a bit before Sam left and we got ready to head out to supper.  While the boys played, I finished painting another wall - only 1 1/2 walls left to paint and then after 3 years - the house will be painted (the walls anyways) and I'll start on the trim & cabinets.

Just after 4, we left and got Karma and headed down to Osteria de Medici in Kensington.  The food was good - we had so much that we took half our main courses home for tomorrows lunch :)

Now we'll chill for the rest of the night while watching some shows.

After breakfast, Spence watched a bunch of history programs, did his printing, Italian, drums and then took a break until I got back from my grocery run.

We did math together - angle proof concept, then he edited his poem, did his spelling and then vacuumed and tidied up a bit before eating lunch (left over spaghetti & meatball sub).

After a bit a little break, we headed off to the pool for practice swim for Spence - he wanted to work on his treading, front crawl, breast stroke and fly ... the lifeguard was nice enough to help us out on the various strokes I didn't know.  After about 40 minutes in the pool, we headed off to pick Karma up and then home for Taco Tuesday.

James will be heading out for swim club after supper and we'll chill watching some shows.

Spencer's Latest Poem

Blood drips from my stainless steel sword as I fight my feelings, my pains, and my woes... although my heart is beating again, shall it stay so as I turn the next bend... with my shield raised high, and my heart still beating, I rush foreword to fight my feelings.

We started with Atlas Shrugged again, then onto Deadliest Warrior (several episodes) and then printing, Italian, math, drums, spelling and then lunch.

Once he was done with lunch, he took a break and then made his bed and tidied up a bit before heading out with Grama for movie day.

In the meantime, Karma was crawling out of her skin and Hunter was sleeping - so I took Karma out and ran into a German Shepherd named Buddy who was almost 3 times her size and had about double the weight - pretty much as big as Bear is (he's the massive husky she plays with).  The two of them ran around the tennis courts for a good half hour before we left to walk and by that time, she was tired enough to relax once more.

I managed to finish re-hanging the hallway pics today and got a few chores done before James came home.  Tonight it's perogies and a walk with the dogs before sitting down to watch some shows.

Great Easter Weekend!  We chilled and pretty much had a very relaxing weekend.  Spence wanted a video game for Easter, James and I watched a lot of Eureka and finished off the cupcakes - now working on the banana bread and I managed to keep Karma occupied enough that she isn't crawling out of her skin just yet.

For supper we ended up having some roasted potatoes with veggie meat, peas / corn and gravy - easy supper to make and clean up.

Saturday April 7

We pretty much chilled - James went to his swim club, dropped me off at a client's to do some work, we then went to Kensington to wander and grab a coffee and then came home to chill.

Spence spent the day playing with his friends and we decided on steak and spaghetti for supper.
