James went off to work before either Spence or I got up. I made pancakes with banana & pecan syrup and watched the snow fall - Spence had his usual.

I ended up doing chores and got supper organized - grilled chicken, double stuffed potatoes and corn. We watched Tangled during supper and then chilled with some TV shows.

I had planned on taking us skiing this morning, but my client call continued until just before Kelly & Sam came over.

Kelly & Sam came over and shortly after we left for Spencer's first Parkour class. He had a great time and when we got home, we chilled until it was time to head to dinner.

We met up with grama & grampa at Kinjo - a new Japanese restaurant by our place. The food was pretty good, the service was good and the entertainment was great.

Now it's time to catch up on our shows and head to bed early.

So at 9am, I woke Spence up - thinking we'd get out skiing today. I had his soup cooking and he says - going back to sleep until breakfast is ready....so I ditched skiing as grama was coming at 11:30 to pick him up for their day together and decided we'd chill (ie. me do more laundry and unpack another suitcase).

He was ready to go when grama called and she noticed he'd grown a bit - he's really reaching for auntie's height now.

They took off, I got a few more chores done and then Leanna and kids popped by to pick up the airplane that I got for Stephen in Orlando - he was pretty excited and let me know about the details of the plane and some of the other ones he owns - it was interesting. Love it when a kid is like an encyclopedia on a topic they love.

I headed off for my doc appt, then off to the dry cleaners to drop off 14 shirts for cleaning and then off to Market Mall to see why Spencer's computer keeps overheating.

They were running a half hour - 45 minutes late at the repair centre and then I get a guy who keeps telling me I should just play Mac games....the battery is toast on the machine, so they are replacing that, otherwise they couldn't figure out what the issue was. They ended up telling me to reinstall Windows and if that didn't help, pay for a techie who does PC's to look at it - they are confident it is not a hardware issue, rather a software issue. I'm not confident - they know what they are talking about. I was pretty pissed off by the time I got to see the techie and then more pissed off when he said I should just use Mac and by the time I left, I told them I'd be replacing the Mac with a PC - if it's going to die anyways, it might as well be a cheap computer rather than a really expensive one.

Made supper when I got home - thai noodle salad and now a few chores before heading out to meet James at the climbing gym.

Both Spence and I got up at the same time as we've been getting up in FL (ie. me at 6am and Spence at 8:15 / 8:30) and after breakfast, we did some math quizzes and spelling. We got ready and were on the hill by 9:45am....we stayed until 10:30 when Spence was too tired to continue - going to sleep after 1am, did not do him any favours. He plans to go to sleep tonight at 10:30 and get back into the groove.

Now I'm going to do laundry and get some groceries and start to clean the house and do some work later on tonight.
We made it home in one piece :)

We left the Vacation Village in Weston by 11:45 and were over at Todd & Michelle's before noon (just before) and after a bit of a play we went off for our last lunch together - Skyline Chili. The GPS said 2.5 hrs and I wanted to give it a bit more time, so we left around 1:30 / 1:45 and shortly after got stuck on the turnpike - all 6 lanes were closed due to an accident - they had a trailer truck with wrecked cars by the time they were letting people through - didn't look horribly bad, but the volume of cars was big and not sure which side the accident happened on, but they pretty much shut down the entire road.

We made it through that and kept heading north....as I was passing the exit I thought we should be taking the GPS kept telling me to keep going - so we did. We ended up in the middle of nowhere, instead of Downtown Disney. We did find out way back to the car rental place in the hotel and got to the airport 2 hours before our flight...which was about 2 hours later than I had hoped to be in Orlando.

We had pre-checked ourselves and the luggage in and so we headed straight to security and got through lickity split and found a place to have supper. The chips & salsa were really quite good, but I've never had a deep fried quessadilla (sp?) before - never want to again. I got myself a new coffee mug - as my old one has disappeared and I got an airplane for Leanna's son - who collects them at the gift shop.

The flight was uneventful (yay!), except for the TV going down all the time (not great, when you are in the middle of a show), the steward forgot to hand out the customs forms - or forgot about us - not sure - some people had them, some didn't (we were in the 'didn't' group), the kids were quiet coming home from Disney (except for 2 who wailed the entire flight and finally fell asleep of exhaustion when we landed) - so not a great flight (not one of the better ones with Westjet), but we got home in one piece - so can't really complain.

Both Spence and I noticed how much friendlier our customs guys are - they are polite and chat you up (probably to find out if you skipped something on your form, but it sure seems friendlier) and they didn't interrogate Spence on his own.

Our luggage arrived and we headed for the corridor where Jo'Anne (the driver lady) had a guy waiting for us. We got home, the dog woke up the neighbourhood when we opened the door - but settled when he saw it was us.

Now all I have to do is catch up on my emails and then head off to bed.

Today, it looks like it'll pour again soon - got everything packed and once Spence is up and has had breakfast, we'll head over to Todd & Michelle's for lunch - our last Skyline Chili for the trip and then start driving towards Orlando to turn in the car and catch our flight home.

Monday March 28

Well we woke up to pouring rain....and it continued pretty much throughout the day....when I say pouring, I mean you step outside and you are soaked to the skin within seconds.

At around 1:30 we left to run some errands and find food and by 3 we were ready to head to the rollerskating rink. Todd called to tell us Michelle found it was closed. We arranged then to head to the park, it had stopped raining temporarily and even when it did rain, it was warm and the boys were ok to be outside. We headed to the park.

We got to the park, settled in and not 5 minutes later the lightning siren went off and we had to leave and the pouring part of the rain came back.

We went over to Todd & Michelle's and the boys played outside (they were wet anyways) on the trampoline, in the yard, etc for a while and then we left for our dinner reservations in Weston. We had planned to stop and change Spence into dry clothes but it was raining so hard, we figured we'd not bother.

We both arrived soaked to the skin at the restaurant as we caught the rain and so they sat us outside to warm up - under a cover it was warm enough to dry off (inside it was air conditioned and way too cold). The plate sizes are huge - so we split the dinner plates and shared, and ate for around 30 with tip all included.

Again, on the way out (after we had dried sufficiently) we got soaked and by the time we got home, it had let off enough for us to make it into the lobby without getting soaked again - just rained on.

We turned the heat on, and warmed up a bit while we dried off. I finished packing, doing laundry, getting organized for the flight and then we chilled in front of the TV.

Today was a rest day ... pool for me in the morning and then off to meet up with Angie for lunch at the Grand Luxe. I went early and headed into Target, then did the new section of Sawgrass and actually found some stuff :)

Once lunch was done (as well as shopping), I headed back home to get Spence to see Sucker Punch (which was eye candy for teen boys). Once the movie was done, we headed back to E's for a play and for Spence to get his BD gift (a 3D puzzle) - he's been enamored with it ever since.

We decided on the way home to not go out and make supper instead, use up as much food as possible and it would take just as long as ordering. Not much left in the cupboards.

Now it's chill time and then bed time - only 2 more sleeps until winter hits us again :(

Saturday March 26

Yesterday was a lot of fun - the boys got up at 8am (I had the sleepover at my place on Friday night) and I sent them back to bed. They got up again about 2 hours later.

We got ready and headed down to the pool after breakfast and Todd & Michelle joined us shortly afterwards. The boys were looking for 'babes' but there weren't many their age (mainly old folks is what they told us) - which was true - lots of grandparent type folks (a few wearing thongs - ew!) and a few younger ones with little kids attached - so no teens.

We stayed for a few hours and then Todd, Michelle & Ethan went home for a bit and we went upstairs to chill. I headed out for supper with Lizi at 5 and Spence was going to make himself supper.

Lizi and I had a pretty decent meal at a local Italian restaurant - the waiter saw I was from Calgary because I made an open table restaurant and it came up with James' info - he then asked where was James and why wasn't he here on vacation with the ladies :) He sat us outside on the patio so that I could keep 'warm' and take some of the cold from Calgary off me (he knew where we were on the map and how cold it got).

Spence calls in the middle of dinner to tell me he forgot to take the top off the ravioli bowl while he microwaved it - everything turned out fine, but I don't think he'll ever forget to take a lid off again.

I got home in time to change shoes and we were off for a night of laserquesting. Todd & Ethan met us at the lasertag place and then although we had a reservation for 8pm, we didn't get to play until 8:30. Todd & I played one game with the boys and there were a total of 33 players (the biggest group of the night) and most were adults - so that was better. I thought Todd got 2 or 3rd he thought he got 8th - but they called his name up 1st (they read it backwards from 2nd or 3rd spot - not sure)....Ethan got like 10th I thought and Spence got 14th - I was the red shirt and got 23rd (but as James pointed out - I beat 10 other people).

I left and headed to Todd & Michelle's and the boys and Todd stayed for another few games. By the time they came to Todd & Michelle's the boys had played a few games and were starting to look worn out. They went off to play a bit of video games and then we headed home.
