So - review on Muse....great food, reasonably priced for a higher end restaurant. We had the waiters attention for the majority of the meal and the food was really good. My favorite was the chocolate mousse :)

James and I ended up going for a walk after supper to work off some of the food that we ate.
So, Spence got up at 8:30 and was in a better mood this morning and not so hungry he had to have two breakfasts :) I think his growing spurt has stopped for today.

We started off with the Iliad (we finished it today), the Ranger, the Chosen and then moved onto math quiz, spelling quiz, planning our next week, updating his checking account, reading guitar and finally drums.

We then had lunch and I headed off to the stores to do errands - a new cooling pad for Spencer's laptop (when he's in PC mode, it heats up quite a bit) and I dropped off my laptop at Apple to continue fixing it.....the parts came in for the 2nd round of repairs and they told me it would not be a 24 hour turn around as they weren't sure if they had a new DVD drive for me and had to see why the keys were flashing / flickering when it was dark, rather than being on with a stead light.

Then it was time to get home and tidy up (Spence vacuumed). I had planned to do the 2nd coat of paint today, but I didn't get home till 2:30 and so I wouldn't have time to finish before supper (it takes me 2 hours to paint the room).

Tonight we have Father's Day dinner at Muse in Kensington and Spence is going to sleep over at grama & grampa's.

After breakfast, we read the Ranger, the Chosen, the Iliad and then Spence headed off to do his silent reading. We then continued with spelling, math (exponents), writing and finally finished off with drums & guitar.

In between he had 2 breakfasts, 2 lunches and a snack before he left with grama for his movie with her....he might be growing.

I had dropped the dog off for a groom today and when he came home he was just one big puff ball.

Spence and I also got the first coat of paint on his room today - it's looking pretty good.

I went to pick James up at work and we headed to the climbing wall to do a few climbs and then came home to make supper. James made sausages & hashbrowns and I made some soup and had some fruit.

Overall a pretty good day.

I let Spence sleep in today as he seemed pretty wiped last night. So after breakfast, we read the Iliad, the Chosen, the Ranger and then it was time to watch Fight Science - it made me sick watching them spin the guys around on the machines.

We had lunch and then Spence did his Italian and then he read while I did my Italian. He then did his last practice on the multiplication of mixed fractions...tomorrow it's the division of mixed fractions. After math, it was time to practice his penmanship and spelling and then it was break time.

He started drums & guitar after his break and then went off to play with his buddies online.

We had planned to go to park day, but it's pouring rain and so we decided it probably was going to be canceled and Spence needed a rest day.

I also went to pick up paint samples for our buildings, when I went to get gas for the truck.

Early supper - BBQ steak for James, BBQ chicken for Spence, BBQ veggie burger for me with rice. Turned out pretty good, despite the rain.

Spence slept in a bit and then after breakfast, did his math and spelling. He then watched the Deadliest Warrior and continued with reading, writing and guitar.

He chilled for a bit and then it was lunch time and drum lesson time. We did our errands and then went to pick James up for climbing.

Tonight we did the bouldering wall and then went to Salt & Pepper for their all you can eat taco night. Spence managed 6 tacos, while James had 5 and I had 3/4 of a burrito - all yummy.

Now it's time to watch E3 and the Sony updates.

Spence and I had decided to have an all school day (meaning lots of breaks in between stuff).

After breakfast, he watched the 'Alberta Forests' - talk about boring and a real yawner. I almost fell asleep at the monotone narrative. I decided to call it a day after a half hour (when we saw there was another hour left to it) and we moved back to Machines of Malice - which we had seen before, but was a much better show.

That lasted a good hour and then we decided it was time for lunch. While Spence ate, I read the Iliad, the Chosen and the Ranger to him. He took a break and watched some TV (rather TV on the iPad) and then he did his spelling, math and writing.

He did his writing, drums, painted his warhammer figures and laundry while I popped out to get groceries. When I got home, we put away the groceries that needed to be in the fridge and then he took a bit of a break before we headed out the door at 3:45.

We arrived at Millennium Skate Park at just after 4 and went to skate board (I took my new long board to practice on) and James joined us shortly after we got there. Spence was in and out of the bowls for a good half hour and James was all around....I was only on the very flattest surfaces (my board is way to fast for me). We then headed to the climbing gym to do a quick climb.

We did some practice stuff - climb up, climb down and then you climb up while letting go with your hands and catching the wall while you are at the top of the fall (hard to explain, but you do stick to the wall). By the time we were ready to hit the bouldering wall, the junior team had come in and the wall was busy .... well we were starved anyhow and so we left for home.

We're still eating out of the freezer, so tonight it was homemade pasta with various bits and pieces out of the fridge & freezer (mushrooms, garlic, cheese, other goodies). The bread didn't rise as much as I had hoped, but still tasted good - so I'll probably wait until Thursday to make a new loaf.... the only bad thing about making bread at home, is that if you don't eat it within 2 days it starts to go bad.

James got up to do the ALS run with some guys from work and Spence and I got up around 9:30. We had crepes for breakfast and then we chilled all day.

James came home around lunch and he chilled with us on the patio. We had BBQ'd burgers with home fries for supper. Pretty relaxing day.
